NYC is amazing! You have people open restaurants to specialize in just about anything and it will be AMAZING. 

POP BAR is a whole ice cream shop just for popsicles. Popsicles are summer, err, LIFE STAPLES! You can’t be sad while enjoying a Popsicle, that’s almost a fact. You also can’t be sad while skipping or eating skittles, try it! So back to pop bar, its not just regular ice cream pop sickles, its gelato (I KNOW) popsicles. They are so freaking fresh, delicious, refreshing, and there are TONS of flavors.

My favorite is for sure the Coconut Popgelato Mypop.  Its coconut gelato with coconut shavings dipped in dark chocolate. Hazelnut Popgelato comes in close second because it tastes like Nutella, and everyone knows Nutella is what makes people happy and pretty. They also have sorbet pops, but I am not crazy about those, but hey I say TRY IT OUT. The Bloodorange Popsorbetto looks crazy good, I judge this mostly on the gorgeous color of it, so seems about right. So its like 1018201201 degrees in NYC this week so it seems like a perfect time to GET YO SELF TO POPBAR. (I hope they read this and send me free ice cream, its what my dreams are really made of, someone sending me free ice cream, ahh.)

SPIKE THE POP

So Pop Bar is amazing and making the fanciest and coolest popsicles, but one step up from amazing? SPIKED POPSICKLES!! How can one make instant popsicles at home and load them up with liquor? A ZOKU!

The geniuses behind the Zoku (my childhood dreams of instant popsicles came true) developed this doohickey that makes and freezes popsicles in 7-9 minutes, we truly are real like the Jetsons! This sucker is one of the few kitchen appliances I consider a must have in my life; along with a blender and a microwave. All else is not really a must.

One of my BFFs has one and made margarita pops for a BBQ we had. Suffice to say MARG-POPS were all we really needed that night. She inspired me to order one, hello and thank you Amazon for having EVERYTHING and always on sale! I ordered mine and it will be here in like 5 days!

SO GET READY TO POPbottles! Their blog has HEAPS of recipes, most far to advanced for me but the two that stand out are the Berry Mojito Pops and the Cucumber Mint Margarita Pops, they look beyond yummy and so easy. So summer is here, rooftops are open and friends need spike their pops, so lets have a party! Go for it, order a Zoku, start planning a POPtail-party and get going on a good time- all your friends will love you for this!

GLAMOUR NOT HOT

I was a product of the late 80s, a big mistake on my parents’ behalf because I would have been an 80s DREAM. BIG HAIR, SHINY SATIN DRESSES, POOY SLEEVES, BLUE MASCARA…the list goes on and on. One of the biggest regrets of not being a teenager in the 80s is the fact that I have NO glamour shots with bad make up and feathered filter effect! I have no miserable prom pictures with BIG hair, white make up, puffy sleeves or silk gloves. 

Glamour shots are some of the craziest things ever. How did this trend start? Did you just walk into the mall looking like that? Did a whole generation of women think “this is so hot, timeless, and necessary? Lets ALL do it!” I really don’t get it! Well, as usual, the Internet gave the gift that made me cringe… GLAMOUR SHOT HOW-TO with visuals!

This isn’t exactly ground breaking in “not hot land” but this is insane! The exposed shoulder, or the deep shoulder, is for sure my favorite move combined with the collar grab - MONEY SHOT! All 80s girls must have dreamed that this glamour shot was going to last forever, a moment in time that their daughters would also want to partake in, and soon they would go back for GRANNY GLAMOUR SHOTS?!!

I say lets bring the Glamour Shot back! Sans duck face, peace signs, gang signs,  weird arms on hips, suck in,  and pelvis out look - those need to be abolished, ASAP.

 If you are from the 80s, PLEASE send us your glam shot, I beg of you- please! If you have one with a scrunchie, it needs to be unleashed into the world, don’t be selfish!
