Emma Watson once said, “Beauty is not long hair, skinny legs, tanned skin or perfect teeth. Believe me. Beauty is the face of who cried and now smiles, beauty is the scar on your knee since you fell when you were a kid, beauty is the circles when love doesn’t let you sleep, beauty is the expression on the face when the alarm rings in the morning, it’s the melted makeup when you have a shower, it’s the laughter when you make a joke you’re the only one who can understand, beauty is meeting his gaze and stopping understanding, beauty is your gaze when you see him, it’s when you cry for all you paranoias, beauty is the lines marked by time. Beauty is what we feel in the inside which also shows outside us. Beauty is the marks the life leaves on us, all the kicks and the caresses the memories leave us. Beauty is letting yourself live.”

Beauty is something that comes from within all of us. No human in this world is perfect, and that is good because it isn’t perfection that makes us beautiful, it is our imperfections.

Makeup and skin care products are great for everyone and simply enhance the beauty that is already present. While some beauty and skin care products are easy to find at a local drug store, it can be important to know more about the ingredients they use and the harm those ingredients could do to your face. Here are three apps that can help you learn more about your skin and the products that are best for you:

Think Dirty:

Think Dirty is an app that helps you learn more about the harmful products being used in your beauty and skin care products while also telling you about products that might be best for your overall skin health.

According to the app’s description, “Think Dirty is the easiest way to learn about the potentially toxic ingredients in your cosmetics and personal care products. It’s an independent source that allows you to compare products as you shop. Just scan the product barcode and Think Dirty will give you easy-to-understand info on the product, track dirty ingredients and shop for cleaner options.”

Think Dirty is free and available for download on iOS and Android devices.

GlamScout:

GlamScout is another great app that can help you find and recreate the looks in your favorite magazines or on your favorite celebrity. Simply take a photo and upload it to GlamScout. The app will then identify the makeup and skincare products that were used to create the look. It will also include product matches across various price points.

According to the app’s description,Find makeup to match any celebrity or curated look instantly! Virtually Try-On the complete look live using your iPhone as a mirror and share pics with your friends! Whether you Get the Look or Get the Look for Less, you can buy your favorites with GlamScout! GlamScout easily finds matches for any look, searching through more than 80 brands and thousands of products to recreate each inspired combination. Try-On makeup from websites, magazines, or real life, matching curated looks from celebrities, makeup artists, and more!”

Beautiful Me:

Beautiful Me is a new mobile app that works similarly to Think Dirty in that it can help you learn more about your skin. Instead of simply telling you about the harmful ingredients in the different products, this app will help you find the best makeup that fits your skin and style.

According to the app’s description, “Using a collection of Facebook or uploaded photos the app measures the changes in a user’s facial features, makeup, aging and hair to help them better understand their own skin and suggest the best products for users to purchase.”

Beautiful Me is free for download and available on iOS and Android Devices.
