Create Your Own Spa Day with these 3 DIYs

Want (or need) a spa day while staying on a budget? No worries, we’re here to help with some lovely DIYs that will help you create your day of relaxation without having to vacate your wallet!

Green Tea Face Mask and Body Scrub

Take it from me; this DIY leaves your skin glowing. For this essential spa day favorite, make some green tea and remove the tea bag, allowing it to cool. Then, mix the contents of the tea bag in a small bowl with one teaspoon of honey. Once your two ingredients are thoroughly mixed and crushed, drain most of the remaining liquid. Don’t forget about your fresh cup of green tea while you mix!

For your face mask, apply the mixture to your face with your fingers, gently rubbing it in and avoiding the area around your eyes. This mask, along with being very easy to make, is very time-friendly as well: you’ll only need to leave it on for 5 – 10 minutes! Gently remove the mask with a warm wet towel. You can also apply these ingredients as a body scrub for further glowing results.

Hair Treatment to Eliminate Frizzy Hair

Here’s a simple hair care DIY that will help prevent the appearance of split ends, and will also enhance natural smoothness. Let’s head to the fridge for the ingredients: one ripe avocado (the trendiest of the superfoods), and coconut oil (the renowned remedy for countless causes). Warm up the coconut oil and mix it with the avocado.

Coat your hair evenly with these fortifying ingredients and leave the mask in for about half an hour. Follow up with your normal shampoo and conditioner routine. For the best results, Natural Remedy Ideas says to try and implement this treatment into your routine twice a week. For now, though, it’s a perfect component to add into your DIY spa day.

Nail Care DIYs

As a thank-you to our nails for putting up with all our polishes over the years, here’s a nail care treatment you can do right at home. As this DIY creator’s title puts it, this DIY is a great idea “because there’s already a mask for everything else.”

This nail care treatment is very helpful in aiding dry, brittle nails, making up for any nail polish lover’s overuse of acetone. All you’ll need to do is mix one teaspoon of olive oil with one teaspoon of honey, and then gently massage the mixture onto your nails and fingertips for a few minutes. Wait at least ten minutes before rinsing off. This DIY’s blogger said of the treatment, “My nails and cuticles always feel amazing after this – even more so than when I use fancy schmancy cuticle oils.”

I hope you feel contented and refreshed after trying out these rejuvenating spa day DIYs! Your wallet will thank you, and happy skin, hair, and nails will greet you.
