Make Your Own Starbucks Unicorn Frappuccino!

Have you been eager to try the new Unicorn Frappuccino from Starbucks, but haven’t had the time to stop by, or were greeted by a punishing sold out sign? If so, this week’s DIY is perfect for you! Follow along for a sweet DIY on how to make your own Unicorn Frappuccino right at home, thanks to some very helpful steps laid out by YouTube user emmymadeinjapan! Let’s make our unicorns.

Follow along with the video if you’d like, which is up on Emmy’s channel!

First, you’ll need to make your blue sour drizzle. To do this, mix one 10-ounce can of sweetened condensed milk, one 5-ounce can of evaporated milk, 6 tablespoons of sugar, and 3 ounces of white chocolate chips. Put these mixed ingredients on low heat, and stir it all up until everything is smoothly combined.

Take half of this fresh batch of white chocolate syrup and add 1 packet of unsweetened blue raspberry lemonade powder. Emmymadeinjapan uses blue Kool-Aid mix, but reminds us that it is quite sour, in case you’re not into that. Be sure to save some powder for a later step.

Now, whisk together your ingredients. You can even add two drops of blue food coloring to really pack in the brightness of the pigment for your magical drink. With this, you’ll have your sour syrup all ready!

Once the syrup is made, the frappuccino-making process can begin. Add half a cup of vanilla ice cream and half a cup of ice to a blender. You’ll need a teaspoon of pink powder; our lovely YouTube guide uses a teaspoon of strawberry Baby Bottle Pop powder. Add 1 and ½ teaspoons of mango syrup, which is a key ingredient. Add a splash of milk, a few drops of neon pink food coloring, and blend it all up.

Now, take the blue syrup you made earlier and drizzle it all around the inside of your preferred cup, which should be clear so that you can see all of your melded colors! Then, pour in your freshly blended pink frappuccino. Results: swirly pink and blue, Instagram-worthy goodness.

You can then take some whipped cream and fluff up the top of your drink, adding some of your Kool-Aid powder to the cream to finish. You can add pink Kool-Aid powder as well to get the real Starbucks-esque unicorn colors on top!

Now all that’s left is for you to taste test! Judging by the video of the finished product, it looks magical. Treat your taste buds without having to brave the Starbucks lingo (and lines), and create your very own unicorn.
