NYC Spring Events

Welcome to March! NYMM is back with your NYC Happenings. With less than 20 days until spring, these events should help you enjoy the wait until the new season starts blooming.

Iconic Central Park Tour
Enjoy your first Friday of March with a signature tour of the beautiful Central Park. Highlights of the tour include Cherry Hill, the Lake, Bow Bridge – which has been the sight for many movie scenes – and many other photo-op worthy sights.

The Orchid Show
As previously noted by NYMM, The Orchid Show is still in town! Stop by the New York Botanical Garden for this lovely sight and celebrate the show’s 15th year in New York City.

NYC Off-Broadway Week
Kick off the weekend with some theater! New York City’s Off-Broadway Week runs until March 12th, at the Top of the Rock Observation Deck at Rockefeller Center. Buy tickets and benefit from the included 2-for-1 deal!

East 67th Street Market
Find all kinds of goods and knick-knacks at the East 67th Street Market on Saturday, March 4th. The event runs from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., and will definitely make for a fun day of unique shopping.

Park Forest Restoration
Does this uncharacteristically-warm weather make you want to take action for the earth? Take a small step at the Cunningham Park Forest Restoration on March 4th, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Volunteers will be helping care for the forest at Cunningham Park. Be sure to wear durable, preferably old shoes, and pack a water bottle!

St. Anthony Flea Market
More shopping! Enjoy rummaging through some trinkets at the St. Anthony Flea Market on March 4th. Come seek out treasures from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

A 5K With Its Own Soundtrack
Want to get active this weekend? Upper Manhattan’s picturesque Washington Heights will provide the background for a 5K on Sunday, March 5th. While you’re running, musical groups will be performing variations of salsa, blues, Irish folk, and many other diverse genres to keep you running to a fun beat.

Columbia Greenmarket
Cap off your weekend with some wholesome Sunday shopping. Attendees will find farm-fresh favorites at the Columbia Greenmarket between 114th and 116th street from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Welcome March and enjoy the weekend – one closer to Spring!
