The fall has arrived! As the coronavirus continues to be a concern, many of us are getting antsy and yearning to plan fun dates. Luckily there are plenty of ways that you and your s.o. can enjoy the fall with romantic and creative outdoor dates.
1. Farmer’s Market
As the fall colors begin to bloom and the yummy produce come to fruition, take a trip to your local farmer’s market. This is a great way for you and your S.O. to enjoy the nice weather and each other while getting all the in-season goods. Do some research and get going! I recommend trying the in-season fruits and experimenting with some fall pie recipes.
2. Drive in movie
Although most movie theaters are currently closed, drive ins are up and running! If you’ve never gone, I recommend it for all, regardless of age. Check out what’s playing near you, buy your favorite movie snacks, and get cozy in the back of your car. The experience is truly a blast from the past.
Picnics certainly do not have to be casual. In fact, you can make such a romantic date if you play your cards right. In addition, picnicking can be a great way to get some alone time with your partner. Grab a cozy flannel, pack a basket full of goodies, and pick out your romantic destination.
Camping is a great way to get out of your comfort zone and get creative with quarantine. Additionally, this is an outdoor date you’ll always remember. Furthermore, you’ll probably get some great sight-seeing with all the fall colors. If you’ve never been camping, fear not- camping as a beginner is so exciting and you’ll be waiting to go back and be the expert.
Take this with a grain of salt. Although a long and tiring run with your S.O. might not seem all that romantic, it can be. Don’t think of it as a task, think of it as a new experience with your partner. Pick out a nice scenic route and take it slow- you can even have nice chats along the way. Best of all: the endorphin rush will have you both feeling the runner’s high afterward, which will pull you even closer to your partner.
Grab a fleece blanket, some yummy beverage, and have a solo bonfire with your S.O. Take this quiet and peaceful time to catch up with your partner, open up, or simply get to know them a little more.
This outdoor date idea may seem mundane, but a drive can be such a great tension release. Open the windows, turn on the radio, and let loose! Sometimes the simplest of things are the best.
