Why We Love It: The Newsroom, starring Jeff Daniels (from Dumb & Dumber), gives us behind the scenes look at network news in this day and age. While it is not a comedy, there is clever humor as you’d expect from Aaron Sorkin (creator of The West Wing, mastermind of The Social Network). The Newsroom will challenge your political stance in the current climate, tug at your heart strings as you fall in love with the characters and generally make you fell smarter. Well acted, brilliantly written and worth every second of a New York Minute.
