





The month of February is filled with fun and exciting events all over New York City. The city is pulsing with activities during the month of love, and NYMM wants you to enjoy them all! Here are a few events going down this February in the big apple that are sure to warm up this chilly month.
Mardi Gras in NYC
The Big Easy takes NYC! A boisterous affair featuring jazz music, Cajun cuisine, and a celebratory recreation of New Orleans’ finest events. New York City’s “Fat Tuesday” takes place on February 28th via the Crescent City.
Valentine’s Day concert
Grab a babe or a friend or treat yourself to the Valentine’s Day concert at Love in the Parlors on February 14th. Starting at 7 p.m., you can hear romantic vocals from 19th century composers in the Greek-revival parlors of the Merchant’s House Museum.
Musical Parody of Hamilton
Dying to see Hamilton but stuck on the waitlist until September? Here’s the next best thing. Spamilton is a “smart and hilarious” parody of the acclaimed musical, featuring wild Broadway musical mash-ups. Running at The Triad from February 14th to April 30th, discount tickets are $49, and the two-drink minimum won’t be the only thing keeping you laughing.
Classical Music concert
In the mood for an elegant and refined evening? Check out the New York Philharmonic’s performance of Beethoven’s First Piano Concerto and Mahler’s First Symphony in David Geffen Hall at the Lincoln Center on February 15th. For this classy night on the town, discount tickets are $38.
Valentine’s Day Art Tour
Want to appreciate art while appreciating your significant other? Check out the Museum Valentine Tours taking place on Valentine’s Day. This event begins at 8 p.m. at the Museum of Modern Art with a candlelit reception. Hors d’oeuvres, desserts, and wine will be served. This delicious treat is followed up by a special tour of the MoMA after closing time.
Orchid Show
Who doesn’t love orchids? The Orchid Show takes place on February 18th at the New York Botanical Garden and shows off countless types and colors of this delicate flower for your viewing pleasure. A chance to stop and smell the orchids, if you will.
Valentine’s Haunted House
In the mood to get spooky this Valentine’s week? Blood Manor has opened its doors for a creepy Bloody Valentine’s weekend. The fright fest begins evenings at 163 Varick Street, with discount tickets priced at $24.
Illusions in the Night
Magic is in the air. Catch magician Miles Thorn performing astounding illusions at the Elektra Theater from February 14th through May 7th. Tickets are priced starting at $17.
Women’s Fashion Week
Of course, one has to note the iconic arrival of Women’s Fashion Week in NYC, running from February 12th to the 17th. New York Fashion Week brings models, photographers, and designers to invitation-only runway shows, but have no fear, events that are open to the public include a whole calendar of stylish soirées, seen here.

Thanks for including The Orchid Show. One correction, it opens March 3, 2018, and runs through April 22, 2018, at The New York Botanical Garden.
